Excellent service. I took a pair of long handled shears to Gabor whilst he was at Burcarts corner last week. He sharpened them whilst I went into the shop. It was convenient, affordable, efficient and he also offered helpful advice. I will definitely use his services again and can thoroughly recommend him.

He came in his mobile workshop and sharpened lots of kitchen knives and garden tools. Everything sharp around the house now works. Once blunt knives slice cleanly; restored and oiled choppers, secateurs and shears (some previously unusable) now cut crisply, rather than mangle and crush. Good advice asked and given on choosing steels and caring for knives and tools.

I saw Gabor and his business advert on mynextdoor and liked what I saw and read. After contacting him, he made an appointment within a few days and arrived exactly when he said he would. I had 6 kitchen knives of various sizes and 2 long garden shears that needed sharpening. The job was done outside of my premises and took around 80 minutes. What a find ; Was looking for a a local sharpening company / mobile sharpening services and found this guy. Made contact via the advertised email and then arranged to take them to him on a Sunday ! A couple of hours later, they were ready for collection, yes same day , on a Sunday! I had 5 woodworking chisels sharpened, and quite frankly 4 out of the 5 were very poor: They needed grinding first, before even contemplating getting them sharpened. 5 chisels ground back to health and then sharpened for under 20 quid. words of warning .: Be careful they will come back very sharp. Will definitely use him again, thanks.

Dropped shears at Burrcarts where van was set up outside. Could have waited while they were being done but opted to collect from The Sharpners house in Harwich road a bit later. So pleased with results, all good as new.

The Sharpener was very pleasant, explained various things about how to keep your knives sharp and what not to do ,, to damage them. My knives are as good as new now and the price to pay for a “brand new sharp” cut was very reasonable.

It is a 5* service when you need to cut off anything and the blade is obsolete. We had a lot of useless knives in the household and now they look like new and sharper than ever. Definitely a recommended service

I boxed up a bunch of my knives as per Gabor`s instructions and sent them off to him. A few days later I got them back. I was pretty amazing at the turnaround time, and the knives, the knives! They looked sharp. I grabbed a newly-sharpened chef knife and immediately tried what I’d seen the guy in the YouTube video does. Oh, yeah. Right through paper, not only without resistance but not leaving any roughness either. The cut edges of the paper were perfectly smooth—like I’d used a pair of German scissors. I zipped through a tomato—the first time in years without a serrated knife in my hand. This was as true for the Zepter knives I’d sent him as my Finland-made Marttiini. The bonus is: My never used, tactical/surviving knife comes back incredibly sharp. Now I can wait for the future zombie attack with no stress.

Outstanding service. Knives were only cheap ones so I didn't expect them to stay sharp for long. However, over a month later they are still sharper than when they were new!
